Emeritus Titles, Personal Titles
& Herald Extraordinary Titles

Many times when a Kingdom-Level or Society-Level Herald has served a tenure,
they are granted an emeritus title or a personal title in gratitude for their service.
Other times a title is granted in the status of "Herald Extraordinary"
for their contributions .

Following is a list of individuals in Calontir who have been
granted titles for their service and contributions.

*NOTE: In the "older or ancient days" of the SCA these titles were often divided into types: Personal Title, Emeritus Title, Herald Extraordinary (for Exceptional Service) Title, etc. Additionally the various kingdoms had different traditions about how and which types of titles were granted. In July 2013 per precedent stated by the Laurel-of-Arms {Society-level} Heralds Office, in the LoAR Cover Letter for that month, things changed. Now whenever a heraldic title is given to a person, for whatever reason, it is considered to be a personal title and carries the Herald Extraordinary rank with it. The passage from the cover letter states: "Principal Heralds and Crowns should take note then -- when you give someone a heraldic title or entitle them to choose their own personal heraldic title, you have also elevated them to the "rank" of Herald Extraordinary."
